Environment Day on 6th November 2009
We are going to organize an Environmental Event on the 6 November 2009 (Friday). We would like to invite our students to participate in this event.
Objectives of the event:
- Enhance students' awareness of environment issues
- Increase students' knowledge of our nature
- Educate students' to work towards reducing waste by practicing the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)
- Boost students' confidence, creativeness and teamwork abilities
The environmental competition comprises of two categories:
A. 3R campaign (group of 3 to 4 people)
Each group of students may carry out any activities within Hanbridge Building. These activities may include litter free, donate or exchange old reading materials, recycling (paper, bottle or cans) and others. Thereafter, they can use those items to create or design other decoration items. Students may also do some research, using power point to present in class on that day.B. Essay writing Competition (individual)
Topics of essay writing may include waste minimization, recycling, climate change, energy saving, pollutions (air, water, noise,) global warming, conservation of biodiversity and others.
Students will take part according to the following division:
- Students from Beginner and Elementary level may participate in the Junior Division
- Students from Pre-intermediate and Intermediate level may participate in the Middle Division
- Students from Upper-intermediate, Advanced and IELTS may participate in the Senior Division
The announcement of the winner for the "Environment Competition" will be presented during Hanbridge School's 8th anniversary party.
